WHEN THEY HATE YOU
WHAT THEY HATE IN YOU IS MISSING IN THEM...KEEP SHINING!
As we journey through life, we sometimes find ourselves wondering: "Why does someone dislike me when I’ve done nothing wrong?"
"Why do people mock, gossip, or try to dim my light?"
The answer is often simple, yet deeply spiritual:
They see in you what they lack in themselves.
They see joy despite trials, faith despite storms, purity in a corrupt world, and purpose when they feel lost.
That divine light within you, the image of Christ, is not always welcomed in a world that has grown comfortable in darkness.
The Bible tells us: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5
Your presence and your observations of THEIR issues exposes what others are missing: peace, truth, humility, boldness, or the Spirit of God. So instead of conforming, God calls you to keep shining.
They hated Jesus too “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.” John 15:18
They hated His kindness, His power, His truth, His purity, and His unshakable connection with the Father, not because He did anything wrong, but because He carried everything they longed for but resisted.
So when you’re hated, misunderstood, or rejected, you’re in holy company. You’re walking in the footsteps of Jesus.
Don’t Dim Your Light... “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”, Matthew 5:16
They may roll their eyes when you speak about integrity.
They may whisper when you choose prayer over popularity.
They may mock your faith, your fire, or your focus.
But don’t stop. Don’t dim. Don’t apologize for the light you carry. It wasn’t lit by the world, and the world cannot put it out.
Let your love disarm bitterness. Let your peace silence the noise. Let your faith be louder than their doubt. And when they hate, keep shining. Because what they hate in you… is what heaven has placed inside you.
The more you shine, the more you DON'T succumb to their hatred, the more they will cook up accusations against you. The brighter your light, the louder their lies. Keep shining anyway. The problem isn't yours... it's theirs
The moment you step out of silence and become a voice they don't want to hear, you become a threat.
The moment your presence convicts, challenges, or exposes their errors ir darkness, you become a target. But that's fine. Let them talk. Let them lie. Let them accuse.
And let them choke on your light.... it's your sign to keep trying to reach them.
You are not just carrying light, you are a reflection of The Light.
Keep shining.
