Everyone Gets A Baptism!
THE EARLY CHURCH BAPTIZED ENTIRE FAMILIES AND HOUSEHOLDS ON THE BASIS OF THE FAITH OF PARENTS OR HOUSEHOLD HEADS (Acts 16:15; Acts 16:29-34; 1 Corinthians 1:16)
But what is a Household? Can they include children or infants?
Yes! Households can absolutely include infants and/or children. In fact, a significant portion of households in the United States are comprised of families with infants or children under the age of 18. Households are defined as all people occupying a housing unit, and can include families (related by birth, marriage, or adoption) as well as individuals not related to the householder.
Family Households:
These are households where at least one person is related to the householder (the person in whose name the home is owned or rented) by birth, marriage, or adoption. A large percentage of family households include children under 18.
Households with Children:
These can be family households or households that include other related individuals (like a subfamily) with children under 18.
Subfamilies:
A subfamily is a family group within a larger household, such as a married couple or a parent-child unit within a household headed by someone else.
Household Composition:
Households can vary widely, from single individuals to couples, families with children, and extended families.
No Legal Limit:
There is no legal limit on the number of children a household can have in the US, as long as the parents can provide the necessary care and resources for them.
In essence, the concept of a "household" is broad and inclusive, encompassing a variety of living arrangements, including those with infants and children.
